An adaptation of the cinema from the phenomenal novel of the "Laskar Pelangi" by Andrea Hirata. The first day the new class opening in the Muhammadyah primary school became very stressful for two extraordinary teachers, Muslims (Cut Mini) and Mr Harfan (Ikranagara), as well as 9 students who were waiting in the school that was located in the Gantong village, Belitong.
The reason is that did not reach 10 students that registered, the school will be closed. The day, Harun, a special pupil rescued them. To 10 students who afterwards were given by the name of the Laskar Pelangi by Ms Muslimah, established the not forgotten story.
5 years with, Ms Mus, Mr Harfan and to 10 students with the uniqueness and with their expertise, fought to continue could the school. Between various difficulty challenges and the pressure to surrender, the Loop (Zulfani), Lintang (Ferdian) and the Bridal Gift (Veris Yamarno) with the talent and his intelligence, emerged as the promoter of the spirit of their school.
In the middze of efforts to continue to maintain the school, they lost the noose that was loved by them. Could they remain faced the ordeal for the sake of the ordeal? This film was filled by the story about the challenge of the outskirts circle, and the story was full confused about the struggle for the life to catch they dream, as well as beauty of the friendship that rescued the life of humankind, with the background of a beautiful island that had become one of the richest islands in Indonesia.
